Palmeiras Worst game in the League

Palmeiras was beaten this Sunday in Rio de Janeiro by Botafogo. Palmeiras for a moment in the game was fighting to become champions of the brazilian league. Later on Palmeiras didn´t have

more chances to win the league so they were fighting to finish in the first four positions to classify

for the Libertadores cup. Botafogo was desperate because they needed to win the match to mantain in the first division of the tournament. Palmeiras lost the match two to anything and now Palmeiras only hope to finish in the first four positions comes in the match between Santos and Cruzeiro. The game was one to one and Santos needed to win or tie the match in order for Palmeiras to classify for Libertadores. At the second half Kleber who is Cruzeiros best striker scored a goal against Santos. Kleber played in Palmeiras last year and he was considered an idol by the fans and he still dreams in coming back to Palmeiras for the Libertadores. He is not coming anymore because Palmeiras didnt classify for the Libertadores cup in 2010. The players were all shy and refused to give interviews for the local press. I team who was dreaming to become champions of the Brazilian League ended up with nothing not even Libertadores.

Palmeiras X Atletico-MG

This sunday Palmeiras plays against Atletico Mineiro at Palestra Italia in Sao Paulo. Palmeiras oobviously wants to win to end up in the fisrt four position to classify for an international competition that is called Libertadores Cup that is played in South America and some clubs from Mexico are invited to play. Vagner Love which is palmeiras striker he says in an interview that he is not playing well and he will make up and he says that he will be playing well again and scoring many goals in these last matches of the Brazilian league. It will be a very good match because Palmeiras still want to be champions and Atletico Mineiro want to end up in the fiirt four position to classify for the Libertadores cup. Both teams are going to be very offensive so the coaches may be changing the formation of ther clubs to win the match. Palmeiras still dreams in winning the title but depends on the results of the other games to become champion of the 2009 Brazilian league. Cleiton Xavier Palmeiras best offensive midfielder is back from his injury and will play tomorrow against Atletico Mineiro.

Palmeiras Fight

At last weeks game against Gremio from Rio Grande do Sul two of Palmeiras players started to argue with one another wich resulted in a fight. Obina which is Palmeiras best striker started to argue with Palmeiras defender Mauricio Santos due to the fact that when gremios striker Maxi Lopes was entering Palmeiras area and he was about to score Mauricio Santos stopped marking him because he thought that the player was offside. Obina got really mas and started to argue with the defender. Mauricio Santos started to insult Obina and Palmeiras striked punched Mauricio Santos in the face and they started to fight during the game. Both players were fired right after the game. Obina went back to his old club in Rio de Janeiro which is Flamengo and since Mauricio Santos had contract with Palmeiras since 2012 the team decided to keep him until his contract lenght reaches. Palmeiras coach Muricy Ramalho said in the interview that both players were very imature and at this point in the tournament the team needs to be together always. Due to this fight the teams confidence dropped a lot and Palmeiras needed to win that game if they still wanted to become champions. Palmeiras still has a minnimum chance of becoming champios but Palmeiras needs to win the two last games ant the first three teams has to loose their game. I think that it is really hard for Palmeiras to win.

Palmeiras beleives in victory against Flamengo

This Sunday Palmeiras plays against Flamengo inPalmeiras stadium. Flamengo is one of the top teams of Brazil so it wont be an easy match. All players from Palmeiras beleive that they will win the match and many goals will be scored throughout the match. Palmeiras striker Obina is not playing this match due to the fact that he is loaned by Palmeiras and he is still from Flamengo. Flamengo said that if Palmeiras want Obina to pay they will have to pay 400,000 dollars so Palmeiras refused the offer and thought that it was not worth spending all this money so Obina can play. Vagner Love which is Palmeiras best striker said that the team needs to win the match against Flamengo to increase the teams confidence which is not so high because Palmeiras last badly last week against Nautico from Recife. palmeiras is still in the first place of the tournament and had everything to win the only thing missing is a little extra dedication from all players. Palmeiras midfielder Diego Souza is now back at the team because he was playing at Brazil´s national team for the elimination to the world cup in South Africa next year. Palmeiras has now all the starters for next match and promises a victory to all supporters of the club.

Yesterday Palmeiras played against Avai in Sao Paulo at Palmeiras stadium called Palestra Italia. Palmeiras tied two to two but a victory was very important for Palmeiras to gain more points in the tournament. The grass was wet due to the rain and playing in a wet grass is not Palameiras strength. Palmeiras is still leading the brazilian league five point ahead the second place Sao Paulo. The tie at yesterdays match didnt affect much but a victory would make Palmeiras gain more points. Palmeiras was without five starters and lost many players for the next match in Recife againt Nautico. Vagner Love Palmeiras best striker received a red card the last due to a agressive tackle so he wont be playing the next match. Palmeiras has everything to become the next champion of the brazilian league and has a very strong squad.

Last night Palmeiras went to Belo Horizonte to play againt Cruzeiro one of the strongest club of the brazilian league. Palmeiras won the match 2 to 1 but the players of Cruzeiro blames the referee for the defeat. At the begginning of the second half Palmeiras lost the left wing Armero due to a red card. Palmeiras played the whole second half with 10 players on the field. Palmeiras is still in the first place in the league and now plays Atlético Paranaense in Palmeiras home stadium, Palestra Italia. Palmeiras beleives that they can win the championship if they continue playing the same way. Palmeiras has everything to become the next champion of the brazilian league.

Pierre that is one of Palmeiras best defensive midfielderd gave an interview the other day of how drinking affected him as a professional at the begginning of his career. He said that he would go out to bars and to clubs then go straight to the training area drunk or there were time in which he didnt even show up at the teams training facility. He would skip practice and he was to lazy. Now a days he said that he totally regrets what he have done and he dreams of playing on the brazilians national team and going to tghe worl cup. He struggles very hard and passses through a very difficult moment in his life. He just lost a son and he is out of the brazilian league due to a severe injury.

Palmaeiras Vs Vitoria

Palmeiras played againt Vitoria this Sunday at ``Barradão´´and lost badly. Palmeiras lost 3 to 2 but has starters player that didnt play due to injuries or suspensions. Iat wasnt that bad because Palmeiras is still in first place in the Brazilian soccer league. Obviously it affected the taem due to the fact that the team that is in second place Internacional from Rio Grande Do Sul has almost the same number of points as Palmeiras. Next Wednesday Palmeiras goes to Minas Gerais to play againt Cruzeiro which is a tough team to beat. I hope palmeiras wins.

Palmeiras both midfielders Diego Souza and Cleiton Xavier went to Salvador to play for Brazil against Chile for the Worl Cup qualification.

Pierre is one of Palmeiras best midfielders and he will not be playing anymore for three months due to an injury in his leg.
